Harrison Wood – Bass/Band Coordinator
Harrison has recently finished a 6 month run on the world premier production of Mrs Henderson Presents at the Noel Coward Theatre in London’s West End. Previous to this, he held the bass chair at London’s Dominion Theatre on the original UK production of Elf the Musical which featured a live 16 piece orchestra. Harrison can be heard on the original London Cast recordings for both shows.
Harrison’s other West End credits include Wicked, Motown: The Musical, and The Lion King. Touring credits include: Mary Poppins, Jackie The Musical, Top Hat and The Who’s Tommy: The Rock Opera.
As a concert artist he makes regular appearances with British orchestras such as The Royal Northern Sinfonia & Opera North and big bands such as The Syd Lawrence Orchestra. He also played principal double bass for Magic of the Musicals at the Royal Albert Hall which was broadcast live on Magic FM.
Harrison has worked with an eclectic mix of artists including: Russell Watson, Joe McElderry, Ray Quinn, Tony Hatch, Don Black, George Fenton, Neil Claxton, Jonathan Ansell and Ben Forster.
When he’s not playing the bass, Harrison splits his time between running the independent record label HAR Records and maintaining his recording studio Woodshed Studios.
